Summer activities

Hiking

There are many hiking trails with lengths from 5 km to 20 km. To reach the highest peak of the Eagle Mountains, Velka Destna at 1,115 m, there is a 6km trail from the chalet. There is also a 3 km track to the Bukacka National nature reserve – a wild forest featuring the deformed and twisted trunks of 200 year-old beech trees.  The chalet is surrounded by beautiful forest and blueberries can be picked in season.

Bikinkg

The area is ideal for biking for all ages and abilities. There are 80km of very well identified tracks. Even on the peaks of the Eagle Mountains you will find asphalt roads. Those who prefer mountain-biking are well provided for off-road.

You can try downhill ride on cross three wheeler nearby our chalet.

Climbing and hiking in sand-stone rocks at Adrspach

Located 50km from the chalet, but worth a visit.

In case of bad weather the region can offer you many possibilities to visit castles and chateaus.

There is also a worldwide famous zoo in Dvur Kralove nad Labem http://www.zoodvurkralove.cz/en/ the zoo is 50km from our Chalet but it is worth to spend 1 day there. You will enjoy the mystery of Africa in many pavilions and specifically in open safari.

Downhill skiing

Skiareál Šerlišský Mlýn – 100m from chalet

Skicentrum Deštné v Orlických Horách – 2km from chalet

http://www.skicentrumdestne.cz Deštné is the largest ski resort in the Eagle Mountains; with 2 sitting cable lifts and many other lifts. You can use more than 5km of slopes offering different difficulty. (blue, red, black). There is also a large kids snow park. Skiresort Zieleniec - 1km walking or 4km by car

Just over the hill from our Chalet you can find the most modern and most developed ski resort in Poland. The size and quality is comparable to many ski resorts in Austria, Switzerland and Italy – but at less than 50% price. You can enjoy 4 cable lifts (4 – 6 seats) and 25 further lifts. In total there are more than 19km of ski slopes (blue, red, black). Due to altitude the ski season is regularly at least 150 days and always has high quality snow. If you enjoy night skiing you can use 10 illuminated slopes. Also snowboarding fans will enjoy this place due to half pipe and fun snow park. If you want to ski in Zieleniec you do not need to drive to Poland you can park your car on the Czech side on top of longest slope. What is great fun for the family and especially the children, is to ski back to the chalet through 1km of forest – funny bumpy track (of course downhill). Cross country skiing

Cross country tracks prepared for both classic and skating starts directly from our Chalet. You can enjoy more than 50km of many different tracks.
